OPENDNS UPDATER PFSENSE UPDATE
If you want to automatically update DNS records then a dynamic DNS is worth trying out. # Read the current public IP into the currentIP variable.Manually updating DNS records isn’t the most productive use of your time, which is why Dynamic DNS Providers have developed a service that automatically updates your hostname each time your IP address changes. # Get the current public IP using DNS-O-Matic service./tool fetch url=" " mode=http dst-path=mypublicip.txt # No more changes needed, one optional change # May not be needed for your model number - commenting out this line may still work for single interface devices or if this is not supplied in the DNS-O-Matic script currently being used # Change to the name of interface that gets the changing IP address # Note, you must have admin or edit (Read/Write/Grant in the OpenDNS Dashboard) to update IP addresses. Replace the value in the quotations below with your host name.# Only one host is supported# Use "" for the matichost to update all items in dnsomatic with this IP. This is the name of your OpenDNS network on the Dashboard.# Hostnames with spaces are unsupported. # Set the hostname or label of network to be updated. :local odnsuser "[myOpenDNSaccount":local odnspass "password" Is there anything wrong with this script? Policy is marked as read and test, as stated in some forum I've looked in for help, and later on I've myrked write and policy checkbooks. Maybe some special permissions are needed to overwrite the file?

I've tried to run commands inside the Mikrotik terminal, and I do get IP and replies with new/old IP's but OpenDNS network ip doesn't get changed.ĮDIT: I've deleted the file: mypublicip.txt and the script executed and I now in log I've seen script executed. Script runs normally, but in log, I can see only: "script, info: fetching current IP" and nothing after that. IP change normally occurs every three days (if I can believe the DHCP settings) so I can do it manually but Id like to solve this over script if possible. My configuration is cable (behind NAT), so I establish the connection to provider. Hi, I've followed instructions but I think that script for updating the IP isn't working, but cant get for what reasonI'm running it on v 6.45.6 routerOS.
